OUTSTANDING. My wife and I went here for our anniversary/Valentines dinner and it was fantastic. Easily my new favorite Italian restaurant. LOTS of options. Honestly, probably more than necessary. Everything is fresh and made to order. I ordered #58. It was eggplant and chicken in aurora sauce. The aurora sauce alone is ridiculously good. My whole family would drink that if we could. I would go back just for that. Definitely added to my favorites list. My favorites don't do the meals justice. Go check it out yourself!!

Trattoria Giuseppe is certainly a favorIte within the area. The food is amazing and and comes in HUGE portions! The plate is literally 3x the size of my face. This restaurant is BYOB but they have a very unique cocktail and wine menu! The owner frequently walks around to check up on guests and say hello. Staff is impeccable with their attentiveness. They are very informative and willing to accommodate to any special requests -- my colleague asked to swap out sauces for her pasta, and my other colleague wanted 100% certainly that her dessert was dairy-free. Both requests were taken with 100% attentiveness and detail! No complaints all around! I can see why this is a local favorite.

We had reservations for 4 people and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. It's a BYOB which is nice, especially because there is a wine and spirits 1 minute walk away. Food: I ordered the ravioli special which was stuffed with lobster and crabmeat, and also came with scallops. I wish the scallops were seated, and the dish really could use salt. That was a mutual consensus with our party's meal, lack of salt with everyone's dish. But the pasta was very fresh and light. Overall: I would recommend reservations for a Saturday night because it got busy really quickly. I would go back to try other dishes, with hopes that the dishes will be appropriately seasoned

Very solid local Italian restaurant that I think still holds up after a few years. Food is delicious, options a plenty, a little pricey, but worth it. Great for groups or dates or special occasions. Their Italian classic dishes are so solid but there are so many options that it's worth trying something you might not normally. We ordered bruschetta which I think is probably overpriced but delicious :) calamari, and this fig platter to start. I had tagliatelle asparagus in a cream sauce and it was a rich, beautiful plate. My mom got verde tagliatelle which was actually spinach which she wasn't aware of and was unhappy with but they switched it out right away. Their blush sauce is out of this world and desserts were worth the room. I think the service could and should be better for the prices and atmosphere. Our waiter was nice but there was a disconnect. Their service and relationship with customers is likely their downfall. I'll definitely be back but it will be for the food :)

the best restaurant on the planet. My grandparents took me here since I was a kid. This was my grandpa's favorite restaurant. We even had his funeral lunch-in here in his honor and the food is incredible. Best and freshest ingredients, no matter what you order you are getting high quality and delicious food in large portions. Love this place!! love coming here with my family

2/23/19. Very nice experience at Trattoria Giuseppe. If you didn't know it was there you may not even know it exists. This place is well hidden near a shopping center off of West Chester Pike in Newtown Square. Apparently many people do know it exists as they were handling some large parties and the dining room steadily filled up after we arrived at noon (their opening time on Saturdays) It's a huge place and they also have added a banquet/extended area. I managed to walk into the wrong area (of course) but was assisted by polite staff who helped me find my party. I was there at lunch to celebrate a birthday for a friend and she chose this restaurant. If you love pasta, this is your place! They had things I've never even heard of. Warm bread is served at the table. It isn't served with the oil and seasonings though, but butter and I'm ok with that. I opted for the shrimp scampi and it was fantastic. The shrimp were medium sized and plentiful. The sauce was savory garlic and I loved what I think was fresh basil throughout the scampi. I was pleased to also find a smattering of freshly roasted chunks of garlic. We enjoyed the meals very much and they offer lunch or dinner portions. Lunch portions are quite generous. The birthday girl ordered the fruits of the sea and the portion was extremely generous. They had a list of desserts that seemed to be store made yet very exotic and different. It wasn't easy to choose but we all opted for the cafe coppa which is apparently a soft cheese based almost mousse like dessert. It was outstanding. Luis took good care of us and was able to answer our questions. The only thing I had hoped for was automatic iced tea and water refills. We had to ask each & every time as our glasses sat empty. Unfortunately they serve the drinks in very small glasses. We always got what we needed. All staff we encountered was pleasant.

I would just like to mention to things. 1- I'm very happy that this place is on my way home from work (dangerous) 2- I love the décor and the size of the building. I came here with my friend for dinner. They gave us complimentary bruschetta and that's when I said this is it, this place Is getting a 5 stars rating so far. The server was very friendly and helpful. I got the calamari salad and let me tell you, it had so much calamari, they are not cheap with their portions. I also had some of my friend's alfredo pasta with shrimp and asparagus. It was amazing. I will be back for sure.

My parents live across the street and have been regulars here since inception. I've been here dozens of times over the years. Big fan of the food and ambience in this BYOB...I would agree with many reviews indicating problems with reservations, but this seems to have changed as of late! The service was very "rushed" for the first few years, but I did not get that feeling on my last few visits. Quite the opposite on the last occasion as we were "dug in" for almost 3 hours with a party of 13! I'd also add we were all seated promptly at our reservation time. If you are one of the many people complaining about the "reservations", I'd suggest you give them another shot! The menu is large, the options can be overwhelming...If it's too much, let the server know what you are thinking about and they can suggest some options for you. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the entrees I've had here...Steak, pasta, veal, chicken...wonderful! I don't do seafood, but can tell you it is often a hit at the table...Apps too...I'm a big fan of the antipasto plate! We got 3 of them on our last visit(big party)! The only shortcoming for me is the dessert...the Fondant cake is bland...the only items I really like are the Gelato and the profiteroles... So there was definitely a time when I felt "rushed" to eat, pay, and get out of there, but that was NOT the case on my last 3 visits...It seems like they found some balance, or perhaps figured out how reservations work!
